Hi everyone.
This is it. It was born another son of NAD/ in Dubai Media City.
The office is ready for this new phase, and we hope to feed this challenging path. It is time to load and setup our energy. It is time to stabilize our methods and brains to start with the right foot, hopefully for very long time. So here is some pictures of the environment. I will send some more photos soon as possible. Best regards.

Ena, até parece o lobby de um hotel em NY :) tem um ar muito clean e espero, inspirador! Bom trabalho!

Leave the domino effect to books, people, and well, real dominoes. In Carbon Design's Domino Clock, the black dots silently switch to white dots to indicate the time, functioning similar to a digital clock.

A custom actuator was designed to power the thousands of transitions the dots make each day, and the only time power is used in the clock is when those transitions are made (kind of like e-paper devices).

The individual dominoes of the clock communicate wirelessly to correctly display the time, and they can hang on a wall or stand freely.

This French gym is so bizarre looking, it might compel you to do a few laps out of curiosity. But it's also highly functional—enormous windows provide lighting during the day, with a solar panels juicing bulbs at night.

The attractive compound, designed by French architect Jean Marc Rivet, also features a rooftop garden, and interiors that are almost as attractive as what's outside.

NAD/ Design Cafe has opened, but that you already know. What you don´t know is how it was made.

We hope that now you can see the big picture. Once you watch the video, you might wonder: so really what´s the true recipe? you can start by figuring how much time the concept took to be ready, how many people worked on it, how much time was spent and how much passion we´ve put into it. Then, multiply it by ten… and there you have it!

More info about NAD/ Design Cafe here.

The apartment and private gallery, which apparently can be found somewhere in Greenwich Village, New York, was designed by UNstudio for some enviably wealthy fellow over the course of the last three years.

Its curving walls offer ample space for the owner's private art collection, and the space is lit by 18,000 diffused LEDs.

HOK, along with Beck Group, has designed a new museum to house the works of Salvador Dalí in St. Petersburg, Florida. The architecture, greatly inspired by the great surrealist, “combines elements of the classical and the fantastical,” according to the director of the museum. The design speaks to the essence of Dalí while incorporating functional elements to combat Florida’s tough weather.

More images and more about the museum here.
