Now that video is the new black, i´ve chosen to share this great documentary. A Short Story by Relentless Energy that challenges recognised core sports and music filmmakers around the world to explore, reveal and define 'No Half Measures' through the medium of film.

The first Short Stories film, by renowned photographer and bodyboarder Mickey Smith, explores his world as a true waterman - both as an athlete and artist, and is called The Dark Side of The Lens. Hope you enjoy. I did.

When we think in architecture, we think in innovation, big construtions, transparency...we think in modernity. Most of the time we forget how everything started. The blog I want to show here is "an unexpected book from architecture that is forgotten and abandoned".

Cubes crawl through a warehouse, spraying graffiti on the walls. Colored threads shoot out from every direction, webbing a vacant room. That's just the start of the abstract, beautiful stop-motion True Colors. And not a single digital effect was used.

Instead, Quintessenz Creation strung together 5,000 pictures—15 pictures per second—to make this short that is as labor intensive as it is stunning.

These stunning macro shots of eyes by Suren Manvelyan show detail that I didn't even know existed. We've got some pretty complex machinery onboard, don't we?

To this we can call a MACRO. Incredible detail.

Andy Spain is an architectural photographer based in London. For the last few years he has been working on a series of images called ecocities.

Spain's Ecocities series of images include either stock photos of London landmarks, or shots he's taken himself, but all have been adapted somehow to give a view of an ideal world's London. A city where blimps hover by the Tower Bridge and the Battersea Power Station has a wind turbine on each chimney.

We're always trying to complicate, looking for the latest gadget in the market (at least I am), and the we get free simplicity lessons like this.

Of course, this is not as simple as it looks, because light is a big deal in photography (and then the make-up and hair also). We can also blame the post production.

But even so, this is a fantastic exercise from  Lee Morris at Fstoppers

A different way to see “art”. Sometimes great ideas are materialized in little things. I stay surprised with the creativity of this artist.
